About the Team

After graduating from Texas A&M with an Agriculture degree, Cade Nichols worked in the oil and gas industry while building his cattle herd and helping manage his family's agricultural business.

In 2009, he left the oilfield to ranch full-time when his family launched A Bar N Ranch, integrating Wagyu into their herd and establishing both meat and seed stock businesses. Despite being new to seed stock operations, Cade built his fullblood Wagyu black cow herd to 500 head—one of the largest in the country.

Throughout this period, he oversaw all ranching aspects, supply chain management, preconditioning operations, and cattle management through feed yard to processing.

Cade managed A Bar N Meats until its sale in 2023.
